Our network publishes local guides for 11 cities in Michigan, from Detroit down to the smaller markets, and connects each call with an independent technician working in that area. Coverage is not limited to the cities listed — if your town is not among them, call anyway. We do not employ these technicians and we do not perform repairs ourselves. We route your job to a licensed local business, they quote you a flat price before starting, and you pay them directly. If a job is not done right, tell us and we will send another partner at no extra cost to you.
Michigan's glacial geology gives the state hard water almost everywhere, and in rural counties on private wells it can be harder still, often with iron on top of the calcium. A top-load washer shows the calcium at the inlet valve screens, where it slowly restricts the fill, and under the tub ring as a film that ordinary cleaning does not shift. The iron is the more visible problem: it stains a porcelain-on-steel tub in a way it cannot stain a stainless drum, and once the porcelain chips at the tub lip those stains become rust that snags clothing. Michigan winters put any machine in an unheated garage, mudroom or basement corner at risk of a split supply hose or a cracked pump housing.
